Where an order goes wrong, it is usually the connection rather than the product. A cream charger or N2O tank operates only with equipment the manufacturer specifies as compatible, and a catalogue name establishes nothing about whether a thread will meet a regulator.
Before ordering, record three details from the equipment already on the bench. The manufacturer of the regulator or culinary siphon. The model exactly as printed. And the unit size it presently accepts.
Send those three with the enquiry and the fit is confirmed against the current manufacturer instructions before anything is prepared. One message, no cost.
Two matters deserve attention. Moving from a charger to a 5 kg or 10 kg cylinder ordinarily requires a different regulator, not merely a larger unit. And equipment that is damaged, altered, or repaired outside the manufacturer's guidance should not be used at all, irrespective of what fits it.
Nitrous oxide is supplied for lawful culinary and food-service preparation, used with compatible equipment and in accordance with the regulations in force. Where a setup is uncertain, please ask before ordering.
